What is Reflexology?
Reflexology is a form of
complementary medicine that studies
the relationship of the reflex
points of the feet (hands and ears)
to the rest of the body. The
formation of this ‘body map’,
linking the reflex points to body
areas, enables the practitioner to
locate problematic imbalances or
disorders and treat accordingly.
Advanced
Reflexology involves stimulating
meridian acupressure points to
further aid the re-balancing effect
of the treatment.
By stimulating these points on the
feet (hands and ears) using gentle
thumb pressures and hand movements,
all areas of the body can be
treated, addressing not only
prevailing symptoms but also
underlying, chronic conditions.
How can Reflexology help me?
Reflexology has been used as a
proven, effective, drug-free therapy
for thousands of years. Although not
claiming to ‘cure-all’, its use has
effectively and successfully treated
a wide number of disorders and
conditions:

Syndrome |

Who can benefit from Reflexology?
Reflexology is suitable for all ages
and can bring relief from a wide
range of acute and chronic
conditions. For maximum therapeutic
benefit, a course of treatments is
recommended.
You will find regular Reflexology
treatments improve your quality of
sleep, boost your immunity and help
maintain energy levels. Problematic
health issues seem far less
troublesome and more controllable.
The positive effects of Reflexology
can be further improved with a
healthy diet and regular exercise.
Treatment sessions
The start of your
session begins with a relaxing,
warm, bubbly foot spa, releasing the
day’s tension.
On your first visit
for a treatment, you will be invited
to talk through a general health,
lifestyle and medical history
questionnaire and voice any
questions you may have in mind.

Moving onto the
comfortable couch, the Reflexology
and massage begin, working out
residual tension, stimulating and
balancing the body systems. Your
first session lasts around 1 hour 45
minutes providing a thorough
de-stress and re-balance. Subsequent
sessions normally last just over an
hour.
Catherine currently provides
sessions of Reflexology and Reiki at
Goring Hall Hospital (Monday
afternoons) and practices in
East
Preston at all others times.
